Ugh. This seemed like such a good idea when I started it, but I guess I'd forgotten that I'm still learning and I've never done anything like this before. The result, as I post this, is that I'm not sure whether I think this is OK, or whether I just hate it.

At any rate, the explanation behind this is as follows: March 21st was Rorschach's birthday, and as we discussed it at the =Gunga-Diner, I got to thinking about the WATCHMEN game, The End Is Nigh. It takes place 13 years before the book, and for some reason, Nite Owl 2 has got the grappling gun, and Rorschach's gotta shimmy up rain pipes and such. So... I had this random idea to have Nite Owl offer Ror a crowbar, a nitestick, and a baseball bat (Ror uses these things as weapons in the game, Dan does not), but then have Ror forcefully take the grappling gun from Nite Owl instead. Just to sorta explain how it happens that Dan's got it, but then he doesn't anymore. Well, chapter 7 of the book blows that all to hell when Dan says he gave it to him.

It was fun to play around with colors I don't usually use, all to make it look more comic-y, and it's nice to have an excuse to draw an out-of-costume Dan for the very 1st time, I just... don't find it all that funny anymore.

So here's what I came up with. Happy much belated B-day, Rorschach, since this took me for ever to finish.
